Article 9 Training
Course Description
Article 9 is a law specific to the Division of Developmental Disabilities. It was developed to address both member rights and the use of interventions to deal with challenging behaviors. As a result, training will cover provider responsibilities, member rights, interventions that are approved (Green Light), interventions that require approval (Yellow Light) and those interventions that are prohibited (Red Light).
This course is approximately 4 hours in length including a break.
Your certificate is valid for 3 years and is accessible for download from your account area.
We cover how and why Article 9 came to be, Positive Teaching Techniques, Interventions Techniques that require approval, The process to get approval through PRC, Abuse and Neglect, Being a Mandated Reporter, Prohibited Techniques, Emergency Measure, Incident Reporting, as well as Possible Sanctions. All of which are very important in properly following Article 9.
